a little detective work has made me realize the "after party" at my loft on thursday june 14th  following my "Living Proof"  show could get out of hand…i have to cut down on the number of people in my space….so i have created a new password to eliminate the feint of heart…no password, no party…..and  you must find it….you must find it by analyzing this poem…..when you find it, do not post it!!

to all adventurous photographers who may come my way

to  my humble loft  "after party" where we will surely play

you must go to the river wide where the password does lay

and surely promise to behave so in my apartment i may stay

But maybe, when wind will be blowing in good direction…
    I knock to your door…
If I ask people on street in NY where you live, they will know? Ha ha ha

    martin…

i did not know you were going to cuba…good, good…you will love cuba and the people…and , yes, you must go now before fidel is gone…once he is gone , cuba will change….there is no place on the planet quite like cuba….

yes, i will not be surprised if you knock on my door….that would really be fun…i met some people from this blog in the virginia festival and it was so cool….kind of hard to explain why really, but it was really really nice…

    enjoy your day……

Yes I go to Cuba in November. Only 14 days…
It strange to say but I hope Fidel will still alive…
Cuba will change, and I hope it will good for them…
    I can’t wait…
    It is so expensive for me I can’t go to another trip. And I can’t stand it… I should go somewhere… anywhere… now… alone…

    Well, good day you too…

  5. My MFA in creative writing and sidelight as a literary critic isn’t helping at all with this one! I find myself quarreling with the irregular meter and the archaic-sounding inversions. ;>

  6. Hola David,

    David,

When we crack the code (which I have, I believe), do we need to RSVP or just stick with your original plan to whisper it to you at the show?

    Andrew

  8. David, best wishes for the show…looking forward to seeing the book. Cheers, Nick.

  9. Hi David,

    preston…

i was pretty sure even when i started that clue ridden “poem” that it would be described as archaic…i guess i was putting function over art and therefore received your critique…

not that i could have written a truly fine poem anyway…my poems to my girlfriend are surely pathetic also, but sometimes she pretends to like them…some kind of good intentions are worth something sort of thing…

i did take a quick look at your website and do look forward to your india book…there were a few inversions and some irregular meters in there, but i think if we trade out a writing class for a photo class we will both have done each other a big favor…
