Le Donne di PIcasso

Marie-Thérèse Walter met Picasso in 1927 when she was still underage. She was fascinated by him, even before knowing his fame. She was the greatest sexual passion for the painter with whom he broke all the sexual taboos. Marie-Thérèse was simple, not demanding and quite devoting. The relationship was kept secret, both because of her young age and to keep her away from Olga’s rampage (his first wife). It was a long-lasting relationship which led to the birth of their daugh- ter, Maya Widmaier-Picasso. She lived in the hope to become his wife, but they actually never married. She died suicidal 4 years after Picasso’s death.
