Howdy Folks, this is @zambereileen, with my sweet labrador Foxy, posting together from the mountains of Southern Oregon. Who agrees that life is richer with a dog by your side? They are constant, steady companions whose only wish is a bowl full of food and to be by our sides. Foxy is a vital member of our family and plays a lead role in each of our lives. She is my husband’s shadow at work and at home. She proudly rides shotgun on all of his travels. Or, left-behind, she waits with one ear cocked, listening for the unique sound of his engine trundling up the mountain. Cedar, Esmé and Foxy are peas in a pod, siblings and friends. They play wild games of chase, wrestle and “find the duck” with her favorite stuffed toys. The three play like rollicking pups, freely and with wild abandon. In the evenings, after supper, she will sprawl on the floor, belly up and burping with satisfaction. Inevitably, one kid or the other with cozy up next to her, and they will snuggle, sleeping contentedly for hours. As for me, our dear Fox is a loyal friend, trusted confidant, adventure buddy, beautiful doggy model and willing participant in whatever my heart desires. Yes, I truly believe life is richer indeed, with my dog by my side.
