Hi all! My name is Mikhail Mordasov / @mmordasov I am documentary photographer from Russia. Two days ago I went to the North to meet my wife and spend there the darkest week of the year. The town of Apatity is situated within the Polar circle, about 1400 km (870 miles) from Moscow to the North. The Polar Night lasts more than 3 weeks here in December. That means that the sun doesn’t appear above the horizon at all. Well, it is quite light outdoors from 11 AM to 14 PM. But it is just a late sunrise slowly turning into an early sunset. #everydayrussia #apatity #polarnight
