| This is @kiarang_alaei from Iran posting on @burndiary | here is the day 3The shrine of Imamzadeh Aun Ibn Mohammed is one of the Islamic holy sites of Masouleh. The brick dome and layout of the shrine exemplifies the town’s intriguing architecture. It is constructed in a way that allows pedestrians walk past the dome as they go to bazaar. The existence of the Imamzadeh is empowering and offers consolation to locals whose houses overlook the shrine. Therefore, as soon as they wake up in the morning they show their respect by moving their head and saluting the Imamzadeh. He is believed to have metaphysical power and thus elders of the town swear to him as they want to take an oath and seek his assistance with serious matters of life.
