Howdy Folks, this is @zambereileen posting to you from the Valley of the Rogue State Park in Oregon, halfway between another soccer game and home. Part of our weekend is usually dedicated to attending our daughter’s soccer games, which can be located up to two hours away. Today was one of those days. We woke at first light, gathered cleats, uniform, snacks (and lots of coffee for me) and hit the road as the sun was cresting the horizon. We drove for an hour and a half in good spirits, and arrived in Grants Pass to cloudy skies, but no rain. Our daughter’s team is undefeated and today proved no exception. It was tied for most of the game, but our girls scored in the last quarter to bring home another win. Giddy with victory, we hurried homeward, eager to tend the livestock and countless other daily chores. Now we are stopped for a quick break at the park before we continue south towards home. We couldn’t resist a quick peak at the mighty Rogue River to see the salmon spawn. The heavens just broke wide open and the rains have begun to fall. We dashed back to the car and are heading for home again.
