Flashback on the coldest day

Summer flashback on the coldest day of winter. Avalon pier break surfer checks out the waves before paddling out. In the outer banks a strong current often carries surfers perhaps several hundred yards from where they paddled out, so they walk back to their starting point. It’s not an easy life.
