Flashback on the coldest day

Summer flashback on the coldest day of winter. Avalon pier break surfer checks out the waves before paddling out. In the outer banks a strong current often carries surfers perhaps several hundred yards from where they paddled out, so they walk back to their starting point. It’s not an easy life.

  It’s freezing cold in the outer banks right now. So I am posting a summertime flashback of what now seems a hazy memory. Summer is right around the corner, yes?
