Heading North

Heading north out of Belfast and into the countryside of County Antrim, we come across Slemish – a mountain whose summit is 1500 feet above sea level. It is said that Saint Patrick once lived here and, every St Patrick’s Day, on March 17th, crowds make the climb to the mountain top. The area is popular for sheep farming as the wool on the fence suggests. Photo by Judith Cole (@judyacole).
