THEY ARE DESTROYING VENICE BEACH….but im here STATE BITCHES…. im still here

  • I don’t know, David..this photo is not one that makes me go ohhhhh, unless i was viewing it during a cold snap in NYC and anything looked better to me than the frigid cement walls outside my window. The digital noise is not a real visual treat to me. It really is different than film grain, especially in color, donchathink? And the photo before it, “Red Towel” which i loved on a small screen seemed a tad bit jittery on a big screen. Now maybe these are just quick snaps to let us all know you’re still out there and square but i for one would love to see something DAH-worthy..like for example your photo of Joe McNally..i mean, this IS BURN Magazine, you know? You got me spoiled way back when and now i guess i feel a little petulant..so don’t want to hurt your feelings, just want to go Ohhhhhh!!!

  • PANOS:

    Loved Amplify Dot “Kurt Cobain”

Courtney Love, she’s beyond cool. Her grief and anger and editorial comments are layered so well over his words and are so moving..”GOD, YOU ASSHOLE, peace, love, empathy, Kurt COBAIN”…she gave me chills..

Thanks for both of these videos..they made me go Ohhhhhhh..

    best

  • KATHLEEN FONSECA

you don’t hurt my feelings!! these are my iPhone shots from Instagram that mostly show up here…i will take your advice however and post larger files etc…scroll all the way down and you may see some you like from the last few weeks…i don’t take good pictures every day!! however i would not put my photo of Joe McNally as a particularly good shot either…pretty routine i would say…..in Rio and in Jamaica i was not really shooting…but giving away newspapers and doing a workshop in Jamaica…scroll back to Dubai, and you might see some a bit more to your taste….

    thanks

    cheers, david

  • Hi DAH

Ohh..ok, i didn´t know they were shot with your phone. Makes sense now. I did like the Joe McNally photo because the building looked like an upside down icicle all sparkly and magical while Joe´s face was a sort of average flashed snap of a middle-aged man. Over time the contrast between his face and the building kept pulling me in. The building made me want to study his face and his face made me want to study the building. So whatever your judgement, i consider it effective and actually rather special.

Ok, will get out my trowel and dig around a bit for some other shots. But it´s not like you have to serve up something fabulous on a regular basis or anything..only a semi-regular basis, like every other day. Heh.

    Bestest!
    Kathleen

  • Civilian..

  • CIVILIAN

Grinning broadly here in Costa Rica..

Happy Birthday, Panos!!! Be there or be square.

and Civi, trickle a little of that precios H2O on those azaleas, we are waterless here in the tropics and it´s getting pretty awful. Wazter rationing is turning this country into a lot of filthy, thirsty people..but we soldier on..we´re looking at commuting to work on camels, packing canteens and lunching at the nearest oasis..

    BEST, ALL
    Kathleen

  • And joing the chorus and the voices of some of the greatest ones.. Morrison, Frida,DAH,Harvey’s league, Kim, Civi, Vissaria,Candy,Bill, Kath, burn family, Tonico, Tony,Lola and millions out there… YOU ARE A TRUE ROCK STAR! And feels good knowing that you will keep shaking, going to edges, corrupting (good version of that), addressing, inspiring our worlds. That would have everything to reach some kind of mess..or lost case..but it always turn in something good, something great . So, thank you . WE love you! ps)keep the revolution!

  • And yes, it isnt written.. but the message above was for PANOS ahahaha

  • Roberta:
