    I agree with all three comments above. Especially the “would love to be there” part. But I’m here with my black cat under a sky that will not grow dark for many weeks to come and that is pretty good, too.

    ahhh, yes, Ray Manzarek..the memories..my very first concert was The Doors in Asbury Park, NJ. I adored that band. Their music was my refuge from overly strict parents and the usual teenage angst. I had to lie, cheat and steal to get to Asbury Park and doubly so to stay overnight. On the afternoon of the concert I was standing at the traffic light shading my eyes from the sun to catch it as it turned green. As it did so, i prepared to step off the curb when i looked at the car that was stopped at the red inches away from me. It was this big black limo with the Doors logo emblazoned in white on the outside. It was such an intense personal moment, like the night i saw a fireball driving down a steep and beautiful stretch of road on my way home in Costa Rica. One of those incredible things you feel happens for you alone.
