i do not know why everyone stayed on this Dialogue when Madrid is newer..anyway, must today write an new Dialogue post anyway….in any case, thanks for the re-post…i did catch John’s comment under Madrid and responded…however, no doubt only you seem to really know where everything is at all times…many thanks

Great seeing you in Oaxaca. Helluva deal hearing my name called 5 minutes after arriving and turning around to see you sitting there with Marie, Michael, AJ, etc. Small damn world even though I wouldn’t want to paint it. As always, I enjoyed the chance to hang out and also get to know some of your students. I also really enjoyed seeing the fruits of their labor.

I hope the current travels are going well. I’m now back in Austin and scrambling to keep pace with the treadmill of life – a tough transition after a week in Oaxaca with nothing but a couple of cameras. It was good while it lasted.

I ordered Burn 01 as soon as I got back from the Magnum website. I hope I placed the order before they all disappeared. I really loved the magazine and would be bummed if I didn’t have one for the collection. As you said, I guess I better start paying attention.

Travel well in the meantime and I hope our next encounter comes soon.

What if you got to the 18 inches apart stage and then realised you dont even like asparagus …….you could do what most people do and keep growing them in the faint hope that you will like them in the end.

……. remember
Carrots are a “short term project” and should never be sown among asparagus as a companion plant.

David. I know what you mean. No chance to expand, or desire to really, just a throwaway piece. The piano was left there by the charity, and I had no idea that the removers were coming to get it that day, or that tony the clown would decide to jump on it and try and stop them(in a clown like way of course). nothing was scripted at all, I just shot what was in front of me….and then it was gone. It just seemed like a gift, so I cut it just like it happened.(well almost)

It’s like growing asparagus in your garden ……….. The new seedlings should emerge in about 3 weeks, and as soon as they are large enough they can be thinned out to about 2in apart. Then, once the seedlings reach about 6 inches high, they can be thinned out again to around 18 inches apart. For the rest of the year you just need to keep the beds weeded and the plants well-watered.

I fear I will edit myself down to zero photos……….. no harm in that worked o book “stonemason’s chair”(book 6) for two months or so, figured I needed to change one image……….. nah it just didn’t work the whole book went straight into the trash…..gone . Placed that image in the new empty version of (book6) and just got on with “suitcase” and is completed after book 7, still worked in the series
